In 2023 I went to Las Vegas with 3 friends. I had been trying to come up with inspiration to take music from a hobby to a "thing". While in Vegas one of my friends was out losing all of her money at the Bellagio and she made an acquaintance with a couple who were also visiting! The couple were there for vacation and took all of us to dinner. While the drinks were flowing it came out that they were swingers.  My friends were a mix of judgemental and intrigued by the idea of swinging.  I had dabbled in the lifestyle with an ex, but his toxicity had left me jaded on the scene. But by the end of dinner I had learned and earned a newfound appreciation for what it meant and what was expected. My friends also seemed to come around to some of the more complex nuance to the lifestyle as well. When they went back to the casino that evening I stuck around with the couple.  I accompanied them to a local Swingers club in Vegas. We. Had. A blast!!! And not in the way you may be thinking (although we absolutely did that as well!) It was as if I had been colorblind and suddenly could see in 4K high def! The wife of the couple was an absolute dream of a person. She was older and wiser (they were in their 40s to my 29), but still sexy as hell.  And her personality and knowledge was a 100/10! We hung out all weekend and when I visited San Antonio, TX later that year (where they are from) we again attended a Swingers club together.  The experiene was just as rewarding and just as eye opening. To see how a practiced member of the lifestyle navigates a scene with so much taboo and misunderstanding within the wider population was a refreshing joy! Since then I’ve been active in the lifestyle and grown as a person and participant. Many of the lessons and values I began to understand in Vegas showed up over and over as universal truths. Not only is the Lifestyle about so much more than sex and swinging, it’s fair to say that swingers make up one of the smaller groups within the culture!  Voyeurs, exhibitionists, nudists, etc. My music is now dedicated to bringing some of the realities and messages to more people. And even if none of the “vanilla” population care, I want my fellow lifestyler’s to see and hear themselves and their values represented. That is what En-V stands for now. Openness, acceptance, exploration, experimentation, and all the joy and thrill that comes with submersing yourself in it! Come with me and take a ride!
